Large 4 legged creatures have long awkward limbs when they are born, but very soon after they have to learn how to use these legs to stand up on, move forward (all 4), walk, run, jump, and even swim. If they don’t they will not survive! They come into the world and very quickly have to transition to learning how to use their four very awkward legs! While their parents are around to support them, the work really is up to them to figure it out.
I think we can learn a lot from these large creatures during our own Life Transitions. Normally, when we find ourselves in a Life Transition it is new, shocking, and very fast! We feel frozen, wobbly, unsure, cautious, and not wanting to go anywhere as we are acclimating ourselves to what many of us feel ‘just happened to us!’ How many of you know what I’m talking about? It may be a job transition, a relationship transition, a living environment transition, or even a natural disaster transition? It just rattles our cage!
What these animals have to teach us is that the faster you can assess your environment, understand who you are, identify what your needs are, and start walking in that direction, the more likely you are to come out stronger, healthier, and happier! In the animal kingdom, those that learn to adapt to the changing environment around them thrive!
In today’s rapidly changing times, learning yourself, understanding what you need to be happy, and living true to yourself will be your key to learning how to stand in transition, standing strong and tall in a changing environment! In my coaching practice, I work with my clients to help them find their true self and define their Life Path so that no matter what happens in their life they are able stand tall and true!
